Medium Aussie Labradoodle

Meet Our Medium Aussie Labradoodles

Our Medium Labradoodles were designed for people loving both the Aussiedoodles and Labradoodle as both have such wonderful characteristic.

A mixed breed dog is every bit as delightful as a purebred dog, and some argue, healthier mentally and physically by virtue of hybrid-vigor.  This term refers to a mixed breed’s gene pool.  By matching two completely different breeds, it is assumed the healthy traits will be dominant, and because there are more trait options, the genetic make up of the dog is better.  The idea of the first “designer dog” actually began with the Labradoodle, and with the popularity of mixed breeds of two to four breeds is continuing to grow, there are nearly one hundred mixed breeds now to choose from.

The Aussiedoodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, usually a Standard or Miniature Poodle. Both of the breeds used to create Aussiedoodles are considered to be canine Einsteins, making this one super smart cross-breed. It’s to your benefit to give the Aussiedoodle a job that will keep him busy, busy, busy. Teach him to find and bring you things, pull your gardening equipment around the yard, or anything else you can think of. Keeping him occupied will ensure that he doesn’t go off and find his own (likely destructive) entertainment. But if you begin socialization and training early and use positive reinforcement techniques such as praise, play and food rewards, you will be rewarded with a wonderful companion.

The ideal home for this cross-breed is with an active family, with at least one person in the house throughout the day who is willing to go for long walks both morning and evening. From the Aussiedoodle’s viewpoint, the presence of children in the home is a major bonus, as this is a very playful and affectionate hybrid that lives for cuddles and games.

The Labradoodle typically acquires the friendliness and well-tempered nature of their parent breeds. Likewise, they are considered very intelligent and highly trainable. Like Labs, they are amazing family dogs and are both good with children and loyal. Like Poodles, they are very smart and can be protective of their people. They’re fun-loving, affectionate, athletic, graceful and highly active dogs. They generally make good watchdogs and therapy dogs and get along well with other animals. Unsurprisingly, considering their mix, Labradoodles love the water and can be exceptional swimmers. They can be cautious or shy with strangers and may also be prone to restlessness or loneliness if left along for too long.

So as you can see these breeds together known as a Medium Aussie Labradoodle makes a wonderful family dog with children or becoming a service dog with how highly intelligent they are!
